Atheists mock believers with 'Sacrilege Sunday' jab
Original: Theists: Happy # SacrilegeSunday ! You're pretending to know things you don't know. ______________________ # atheism # f
Atheist users on social media are marking what they call 'Sacrilege Sunday' by accusing religious believers of 'pretending to know things you don't know.' The taunt, shared under atheism and faith hashtags, frames religious conviction as unfounded certainty. The post drew little engagement, but the slogan reflects a recurring online clash between atheist and theist communities over faith and evidence.
Why now: Atheist and theist users regularly clash online, and this provocative hashtag framing gives them a fresh occasion to argue.
