Abishek Porel scores emotional century in Ranji Trophy match
Original: delhi vs bengal
Bengal wicketkeeper-batter Abishek Porel hit a century against Delhi in the Ranji Trophy and broke down in tears afterwards, speaking publicly for the first time since his arrest in August in connection with a rape case. Day one of the round also saw centuries from Rinku Singh, Smaran and Rathod, while Akash Deep said he returned a better-prepared bowler after an injury layoff.
Why now: Porel's century came in his first match since his widely reported August arrest, making his emotional reaction a major talking point.
