Singapore records worst air quality in the world
Original: wait singapore has the worst air quality in the world rn ? wtf ? any specific reasons ? or is it like this every year du
Posts are noting that Singapore currently ranks first among cities with the worst air quality globally, with users asking whether this happens every year. The spike is consistent with the annual haze season, when smoke from forest and peatland fires in neighbouring Indonesia drifts over Singapore during dry weather. Many locals are discussing health precautions and comparing conditions to past haze episodes.
Why now: Singapore's air quality has spiked to the top of global rankings, likely due to seasonal regional haze, prompting concern and discussion among residents.
Rank over time, top of the chart is #1. 6 snapshots from 6 h ago to 29 min ago.
