Gazans told to evacuate overcrowded, uninhabitable shelters

Original: Look how the people of Gaza are living in uninhabitable shelters! And then the army orders them to evacuate immediately!

Residents of Gaza are describing squalid, overcrowded shelters that they say are barely livable, while simultaneously receiving fresh Israeli army orders to evacuate immediately. One account describes immense psychological pressure and constant suffering, asking how long conditions can continue. The reports highlight the recurring displacement facing civilians who are ordered to move with little time and few safe places to go.

Why now: New evacuation orders are compounding already dire shelter conditions for displaced civilians in Gaza.
