Nurses postpone major strike, plan vote on hospital's final offer
Original: Nurses postpone major strike, plan vote on hospital's "final offer'
Nurses have postponed a major strike and will instead hold a vote on what the hospital describes as its final contract offer. The delay puts the planned walkout on hold while union members decide whether to accept the terms or press ahead with industrial action. A rejection could see the strike proceed.
Why now: A strike being called off pending a vote signals a possible breakthrough in a high-stakes labor dispute.
