Cosmic apparition photographed in Mexico City, with a nod to Kubrick
Original: # Aparición del cosmos en la Ciudad de # México (con un saludo a Stanley Kubrick). ⬛😁 An # apparition from the # cosmos
Writer Alberto Chimal shared an urban photograph from Mexico City showing a black monolith-like shape, describing it as an apparition from the cosmos and explicitly saluting Stanley Kubrick, whose film 2001: A Space Odyssey made the monolith an iconic image. The post tags it as urban photography and cinema, playing on the overlap between the city's everyday streets and science fiction imagery.
Why now: The playful Kubrick reference and striking monolith image resonate with film fans and photography communities.
