Ukrainian commentators Oleksandra Poda, Zoriana Semenovych and Mariana Lastovyria report that Russia has chosen a new weapon to terrorize Ukraine. They say Russia launched nine times more jet-powered drones than in June, put cheap missiles into mass production, and intensified its sabotage campaign against NATO countries, marking a sharp escalation in the war's air and hybrid threats.

Why now: Reports of a major surge in Russian drone and missile attacks on Ukraine are drawing fresh attention to the escalating war.
