Ukrainian Drones Strike Lukoil Refinery Deep Inside Russia

Original: Ukrainian Drones Strike Russia's Lukoil Refinery 1,700 Km Away

Ukrainian drones have struck a Lukoil oil refinery in Russia's Komi Republic, roughly 1,700 kilometres from Ukrainian territory, marking one of the longest-range attacks of the war. The strike on the remote facility highlights Kyiv's expanding drone capabilities and its campaign against Russian fuel infrastructure, which aims to degrade Moscow's war economy and oil export revenues.

Why now: The unprecedented range of the attack on deep Russian territory demonstrates Ukraine's growing long-range drone capability.
