Close to 50,000 people took part in a climate march in Brussels, criticising the Belgian federal government and the European Commission for doing far too little on climate action, according to RTBF. Protesters are demanding stronger measures as frustration over perceived government inaction grows. The demonstration is among the larger climate mobilisations seen recently in Belgium.
Why now: A large-scale climate demonstration in Brussels is drawing attention to criticism of Belgian and EU climate policy.
