Public pitch and putt course challenges golf's rich image in Vancouver

Original: El # golf tiene, con razón, la fama de ser para ricos. En el área metropolitana de # Vancouver hay en un parque público

Golf has a well-earned reputation as a sport for the wealthy, but in the Vancouver metropolitan area a public park offers a "pitch and putt" course as an affordable alternative. In a normal golf game, players hit two or three long shots per hole to get close, plus a medium shot to approach the green. The short format removes much of that expense and land requirement.

Why now: Golf's reputation as an elite sport makes an affordable public course in a city park notable and worth discussing.
