Original: Democrat Chris Pappas says "we're taking nothing for granted" amid "tough race" in New Hampshire
New Hampshire Democrat Chris Pappas says he is treating his election contest as a difficult fight, telling CBS News 'we're taking nothing for granted' while calling it a 'tough race.' The remarks signal that the incumbent is campaigning cautiously, acknowledging the contest in the swing-leaning state remains competitive rather than secure.
Why now: The seat could matter for control of Congress, so the incumbent's cautious comments are drawing attention to a closely watched race.
