Car showgoer notes total absence of electric vehicles
Original: I know the fediverse isn't keen on cars but look at it from a different point of view. I spent the weekend at a huge car
A car enthusiast who spent the weekend at a large car show reports thousands of vehicles on display with not a single electric car among them. The lineup included classic American muscle, imports, diesel trucks, lowriders, European models and untouched stock survivors. The observation has drawn attention because it contrasts sharply with the rapid electrification push in the wider auto industry, and it plays against the largely pro-transit, car-skeptical audience of the fediverse, where it was shared.
Why now: It highlights a striking gap between the EV transition in new car sales and enthusiast car culture, sparking debate on a platform generally critical of cars.
