Youngstown art show puts judging in viewers' hands
Original: Art show judged by art lovers in Youngstown
An art show in Youngstown, Ohio, is being judged by the art lovers who attend rather than by a panel of experts or judges. Visitors to the exhibition vote for the works they like best, deciding which artists receive recognition. The community-judged format has drawn local attention as a fresh take on how art shows are normally run.
Why now: The unusual audience-judged format offers a local alternative to traditional expert-juried art exhibitions.
