Supporters of Ukraine are celebrating reports that Yandex traffic has disappeared from Cloudflare's bot radar, with claims that Russian-linked bot activity on social media has dropped sharply. The claims are being linked to a strike or disruption affecting Yandex infrastructure. The exact cause of the traffic drop and its scale remain unconfirmed, but observers are treating the change as a sign of weakened Russian online influence operations.
Why now: People are reacting to a sudden, visible drop in Yandex bot traffic during the Ukraine war and celebrating it as a blow to Russian trolling.
