Claim circulated that major outlets ignored York, PA beating

A widely shared post claims a White woman was brutally beaten in York, Pennsylvania, and that major outlets including the New York Times, CNN, the Washington Post, MSNBC, NPR, Reuters and ABC News have not covered the case. The post contrasts this with those outlets' extensive coverage of George Floyd's death, accusing them of a racial double standard in how such incidents are reported.

Why now: The post is spreading rapidly because it taps into accusations of media bias in race-related crime coverage.
