Shane Gillis hosts Saturday Night Live to mixed reviews

Original: shane gillis

Comedian Shane Gillis returned to host Saturday Night Live, with The Guardian describing him as a game, energetic host. However, the review argues the show itself remains in a subpar streak, with the writing and sketches failing to match the host's effort. Gillis, who was famously fired from the cast before ever appearing on air, has become a recurring host as his stand-up profile has grown.

Why now: Gillis just hosted a new episode of SNL, prompting reviews and debate about the show's current quality.
