LineageOS 24 custom Android ROM released
Original: LineageOS 24
The LineageOS project has announced version 24 of its custom Android operating system, publishing the changelog on its official website. LineageOS is one of the most popular community-built ROMs, letting users install a supported, close-to-stock Android build on phones whose makers have stopped updating them. Developers and enthusiasts are discussing the new release, its device support, and upgrade paths on Hacker News.
Why now: The release of a major new version of the widely used custom Android ROM naturally draws strong interest from the open-source and phone-modding community.
