US Military Bought 21 Russian MiG-29 Fighters to Keep Them From Iran
Original: The US Military Purchased 21 Russian Mach 2.3 MiG-29 Fulcrum Fighters to Stop Iran From Geetting a Nuclear Weapons Delivery System
The US military purchased 21 Russian-built MiG-29 Fulcrum fighters, twin-tail jets capable of Mach 2.3, reportedly to prevent the aircraft from reaching Iran as a potential nuclear weapons delivery platform. The purchase highlights how Washington has used acquisitions of foreign-made combat aircraft to keep sensitive hardware out of the hands of adversaries.
