Zheng and Andreeva withdraw from Wuhan Open after Beijing final
Original: Zheng, Andreeva to miss Wuhan Open following Beijing final
Qinwen Zheng and Mirra Andreeva have withdrawn from the Wuhan Open after reaching the final of the China Open in Beijing. The quick turnaround between the two WTA events left both players unable to compete in Wuhan, a tournament they had been expected to feature in. The withdrawals reshape the Wuhan draw and raise fresh questions about scheduling demands on players during the Asian swing.
Why now: Both players were marquee attractions at Wuhan, and their immediate withdrawal after the Beijing final highlights concerns about tournament scheduling.
