Sudan's military says its air defenses shot down a strategic unmanned aircraft near Wad al-Mahi in Blue Nile State, claiming the drone crossed the border from Ethiopia. The claim, circulated via open-source intelligence channels, has not been independently confirmed, and Ethiopian authorities have not publicly responded. Any such incident would mark a serious escalation between the two neighbours already strained by the Sudanese civil war.
