Apple to launch touchscreen MacBook after years of waiting
Original: Apple will finally introduce a MacBook with a touchscreen. What is known about the new gadget, which was announced three years ago
Apple is expected to introduce a MacBook with a touchscreen, a feature the company has resisted for years despite the wider laptop market adopting it. Reports note the move was anticipated as far back as three years ago, and attention now centres on what the new model will offer in terms of display, design and pricing. Observers see it as a notable shift in Apple's long-standing position on touch-enabled Macs.
Why now: A long-rumoured touchscreen MacBook would mark a major change in Apple's product strategy, drawing strong interest from tech communities.
