A developer of the Wefax Decoder software fixed a bug in which received weather fax transmissions were being labelled with the wrong source, and released version 1.0.1 on GitHub to correct it. To demonstrate the fix, they shared a fax automatically received from Germany's weather service DWD showing a 12-hour surface pressure forecast for Europe.

Why now: Radio amateurs and weather enthusiasts follow the tool for automatically receiving DWD weather fax charts.
