George Russell writes off title chances as championship battle fades

Original: WM abgehakt: Warum George Russell auch Platz zwei nicht wichtig scheint George Russell sieht keine Chance mehr auf den T

Mercedes driver George Russell says he no longer has a realistic chance of winning the Formula 1 world championship, and even second place in the standings does not appear to be a priority for him. Instead, he is focusing his comments on technical problems at Mercedes rather than fighting for position in the championship.

Why now: Russell's blunt assessment of his fading title and runner-up prospects is striking mid-season talk among Formula 1 fans.
