Claim: Zelensky issues ultimatum to Trump over oil strikes
Original: Ultimatum to Trump. Zelensky won’t respond to the US President’s statements - he’ll destroy oil refineries and sink dies
A claim is circulating that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will ignore statements by US President Donald Trump and instead escalate, threatening to destroy oil refineries and sink diesel tankers heading to the United States. The claim, shared by a pro-Russian commentator, asks whether Washington can stop Zelensky and accuses him of pushing the world toward catastrophe. There is no confirmation from Kyiv or Washington that any such ultimatum or tanker campaign exists.
Why now: The claim targets Trump's ongoing efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war, a topic of intense current debate.
