Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called for an investigation into anonymous military whistleblowers featured in the documentary 'NAZA', which won an award at the Venice film festival. The demand followed the film's revelations by serving soldiers about the conduct of the war in Gaza, and has drawn attention to the gap between official accounts and testimony from within the military.

Why now: The film's prize at Venice and the whistleblowers' allegations put pressure on Israel's leadership, prompting the prime minister's call for a probe.
