Far-right bot accounts fall silent after Ukrainian strikes on Russian data centres
Original: Far-right bot accounts ‘fall silent’ as Ukraine strikes cripple Russian data centres https://www. thelondoneconomic.com/
Ukrainian strikes have crippled Russian data centres, including infrastructure linked to Yandex, and analysts report a sudden drop in far-right bot activity online. The suggested connection: much of the automated pro-Kremlin messaging was routed through servers now knocked offline. Observers see it as evidence that coordinated inauthentic accounts depend heavily on Russian-hosted infrastructure.
Why now: The apparent link between battlefield strikes on data centres and a sudden drop in bot traffic is striking and widely shared.
