Original: BREAKING UPDATE: Spain's Civil Guard chief declares the border has "TOTALLY COLLAPSED," THOUSANDS of military-aged Afric
Posts claim the head of Spain's Civil Guard has declared the border 'totally collapsed', saying thousands of African men crossed within hours, a surge attributed to Spain's amnesty for undocumented migrants. The claim is circulating mainly among right-leaning accounts, who argue amnesty encourages further irregular migration. No official Civil Guard statement confirming the remark has been verified in the posts sharing it.
Why now: An unverified claim about a migration crisis at Spain's border is spreading amid anger over Spain's amnesty policy.
