BCA Industries unveils portable battery recycling unit
Original: BCA Industries designs portable version of its battery recycling technology
Wisconsin-based recycling equipment maker BCA Industries has developed a portable version of its battery recycling technology, according to Recycling Today. The mobile design would allow lithium-ion battery processing to be carried out closer to where spent batteries are collected, rather than shipping them to fixed facilities. Industry watchers see it as a response to growing volumes of end-of-life EV and electronics batteries.
Why now: Recycling capacity for end-of-life lithium-ion batteries is a pressing issue as electric vehicle and electronics waste grows.
