Hello Games has compressed No Man's Sky to under 5GB for a free-to-try mobile launch, calling it a seemingly impossible technical challenge the team set out to disprove. The feat draws attention because the sprawling space survival game, known for its vast procedural universe, has historically demanded far more storage, making a playable mobile version a notable engineering milestone.

Why now: The developers' claim of overcoming a seemingly impossible compression challenge for a mobile release is generating buzz among gaming fans.
