Protesters return to Madrid's Puerta del Sol 15 years after 15-M

Original: acampada sol

Protesters have set up camp again in Madrid's Puerta del Sol, reviving the square that became the symbol of the 15-M 'indignados' movement in 2011. Spanish media are comparing the two moments, noting what the indignados demanded 15 years ago — jobs, housing, and political reform — and how today's demands differ, amid renewed debate over the country's political and economic situation.

Why now: The fifteenth anniversary of the 15-M movement has drawn protesters back to Sol, prompting comparisons between then and now.
