WordPress positioned as a gateway to decentralized social networks
Original: What if your # WordPress site served as a gateway to decentralized social networks? What if that could bring interaction
A discussion is under way about whether WordPress sites can act as a gateway to decentralized social networks, potentially bringing more interaction back to personal blogs. Jeremy, a blogger and head of creator tools at Automattic, is explaining how a WordPress blog can connect with federated platforms as part of a podcast conversation on free and open projects.
Why now: Interest in the fediverse and WordPress's ActivityPub integration is growing among bloggers seeking alternatives to centralized social media.
