Trump says he is 'thinking of' renaming Atlantic or Pacific
Original: Trump ‘thinking of’ renaming Atlantic or Pacific
President Trump has said he is 'thinking of' renaming either the Atlantic or the Pacific Ocean, according to The Hill. No details were given about which ocean, what new name he is considering, or whether any formal process is underway. The remark follows his earlier push to rename geographic features, including rebranding the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America.
Why now: Trump's history of renaming geographic landmarks makes the comment plausible enough to spark wide discussion and speculation
