Analysis questions claims linking AfD bot activity to Yandex outage

Original: Update: thanks @ joosteto - this doesn't seem to be supported by the data as per https:// rohtext.de/news/afd-bots-offli

A widely shared claim that far-right bot activity, including AfD and MAGA accounts, dropped when Russian search engine Yandex went offline is being walked back. A follow-up citing analysis published at rohtext.de says the data points to an overall decline in activity rather than a specific drop tied to Russian-linked networks. Commenters are debating whether the outage theory holds up.

Why now: The claim tied Russian infrastructure to European far-right social media activity, but new analysis appears to contradict it, prompting corrections and discussion.
