Jack Doherty Faces Six-Month Posting Ban Over Shuffle.com Deal
Original: Jack Doherty Faces Six-Month Posting Ban After Signing Shuffle.com Deal Without Reading It
Streamer Jack Doherty has reportedly been hit with a six-month ban from posting after signing a sponsorship deal with gambling platform Shuffle.com without reading its terms. Commentators say the contract contained clauses restricting his output, and the situation has reignited criticism of Doherty's history of promoting gambling to a young audience. Many online are treating the ban as a self-inflicted consequence of careless business dealings.
Why now: The irony of a streamer being banned through a sponsorship he did not read has made the story widely shared and mocked online.
