Ilhan Omar vows not to be silenced after federal agents raid her home
Original: Ilhan Omar says she will not be silenced after federal agents raid her home
US Congresswoman Ilhan Omar said she will not be silenced after federal agents raided her home. The raid comes as Donald Trump and key allies have accused the Minnesota Democrat of immigration fraud and called for her to be expelled from the country. Omar, a frequent target of the president, rejects the allegations and frames the action as political intimidation.
Why now: The raid on a sitting congresswoman who has been publicly targeted by Trump and his allies is a dramatic escalation of a political feud.
