Original: Some physicists question existence of dark energy
A growing number of physicists are questioning the existence of dark energy, the mysterious force thought to drive the accelerating expansion of the universe. Researchers affiliated with the University of Cincinnati are among those weighing in, debating whether alternative explanations, such as tweaks to gravity or cosmic structure, could account for observations currently attributed to dark energy.
