A decade after releasing Stardew Valley, developer Eric Barone continues to work solo on the farming simulation and its updates, a GQ profile reports. Barone created, coded and maintained the hit indie game by himself, and remains the sole developer even as it grew into one of the most successful indie titles ever. Gamers are praising his rare commitment to working independently.
Why now: A new GQ profile marking ten years of Stardew Valley is renewing admiration for Barone's solo development of the game.
