Fitbit Edge gains user-replaceable battery in durability push

Original: This Fitbit Edge upgrade takes it one step closer to buy-it-for-life status Fitbit Edge does something no Fitbit has bef

The Fitbit Edge is being highlighted for a first in the company's lineup: a battery that users can replace themselves. Commenters say the move pushes the tracker toward buy-it-for-life territory, improving repairability and long-term value. Why now: Battery replaceability is rare in fitness trackers and taps into growing interest in repairable, longer-lasting gadgets.
