Russia launched six ballistic missiles at Kyiv with no air alert sounding and no reported air defence activity, according to initial reports. Ukrainian sources say the United States has cut the intelligence sharing that gives early warning of Russian ballistic launches, leaving the city exposed. The strike and its apparent link to the intelligence cutoff are drawing alarm online.

Why now: The missiles reportedly hit Kyiv without any warning because US intelligence sharing has been cut off.
