Trump's praise of Ohio Senator Jon Husted raises eyebrows
Original: jon husted
President Trump is drawing attention for his unusually personal praise of Ohio Senator Jon Husted, reportedly commenting on his appearance and athleticism during remarks tied to midterm campaigning. The comments came as Trump also announced a submarine repair center for Ohio, part of a broader push to boost Republican candidates ahead of the midterms. The remarks are fueling discussion about Trump's unorthodox style of stumping for allies.
Why now: Trump's personal comments about Husted, combined with a midterm campaign pitch in Ohio, are driving fresh attention to the senator.
