A Florida zoo moved its flamingos into a bathroom to keep them safe as Hurricane Isaias passed through the state, according to a New York Times report. The birds rode out the storm indoors, a standard practice for zoos protecting animals during severe weather, and the unusual image has drawn warm attention online.
Why now: The charming image of flamingos huddled in a bathroom during a hurricane is an endearing, shareable animal story as the storm hits Florida.
