Report: Ken Paxton Partied in Dubai With Fugitives
Original: Exclusive | Ken Paxton Partied in Dubai With Fugitives Ahead of High-Stakes Texas Senate Race
The Wall Street Journal reports that Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton socialized in Dubai with fugitives ahead of the state's high-stakes US Senate race. The exclusive alleges the Republican, a candidate for Senate, attended parties abroad alongside individuals wanted by authorities. The report lands as Paxton campaigns against Senator John Cornyn, and opponents are likely to use the allegations to question his judgment on the campaign trail.
Why now: The timing, right before a contested Republican Senate primary, makes the allegations politically damaging and newsworthy.
