The new season of Fuji TV's long-running medical drama 'Emergency Room 24 Hours' premiered to the series' highest rating in a year and a half, prompting the network to release a statement thanking viewers and teasing that 'the story will move on a much bigger scale.' The drama's return is drawing attention as a bright spot for Japanese scripted television, and discussion is also touching on other dramas like Nippon TV's 'Oretachi no Hakone Ekiden', which airs its second episode on October 17, 2026.
