Original: Right-wing Spanish girls bring shower gel to the Antifa camp that has been up on a square in central Madrid for weeks no
Young right-wing Spanish women brought bars and bottles of shower gel to the Antifa encampment that has occupied a square in central Madrid for weeks. The gesture was widely read as a taunt implying the protesters are unwashed, and it quickly spread across Spanish social media, drawing mockery, amusement and criticism from both sides of the political divide.
Why now: The stunt is a provocative, meme-friendly jab at left-wing protesters that fits into Spain's polarised political climate.
