Haze forces flight diversions at Singapore's Seletar Airport
Original: seletar airport flight diversions haze
Sixteen flights were diverted from Singapore's Seletar Airport between October 5 and October 11 after haze thickened over the region and cut visibility below safe landing limits. Malaysia's low-cost carrier Firefly cancelled flights to the airport and has extended the cancellations as conditions persist. Travellers face ongoing disruption while regional haze levels remain elevated.
Why now: Transboundary haze is causing ongoing flight cancellations and diversions affecting travellers between Malaysia and Singapore.
