Tyler Cowen Argues America Needs African Immigrants
Original: Tyler Cowen: America Needs African Immigrants
Economist Tyler Cowen has published an essay arguing that the United States needs more African immigrants, making the case on economic and demographic grounds. The piece, carried by The Free Press, lands amid heated American debate over immigration policy and has drawn attention for defending immigration from a continent often left out of the conversation.
Why now: Immigration is a polarising US election-cycle issue, and a prominent economist urging more African migration sparks debate.
