NASA's DAVINCI Venus probe passes extreme heat tests

Original: 🚀 Venus probe survives all extreme heat tests 👉 NASA has successfully tested the DAVINCI probe at temperatures of up to

NASA says the DAVINCI probe, destined for Venus, has survived extreme heat testing at temperatures up to 465 degrees Celsius (869 degrees Fahrenheit), roughly matching conditions on the planet's surface. The test model endured six simulated descents without damage. Space enthusiasts are sharing the news as a key milestone for the mission, which aims to descend through Venus's dense, hot atmosphere.

Why now: The successful heat testing marks a major milestone for a mission to one of the most hostile environments in the solar system.
