New Exhibition Charts 100 Artistic Responses to Battery Park City

Original: Art in Battery Park City: 100 Practices for a Changing Landscape

An exhibition titled 'Art in Battery Park City: 100 Practices for a Changing Landscape' has been announced in Lower Manhattan. The project brings together one hundred artistic practices examining how the neighbourhood's built and natural environment has evolved, positioning Battery Park City as a case study for art addressing landscape, climate and urban change. Local coverage has highlighted the scale of the survey and its focus on a single, deliberately engineered community.

Why now: Interest in art that responds to climate change and urban redevelopment is high, and a hundred-practice survey of one neighbourhood is an unusually broad undertaking
