Grace Hopper Celebration Cancelled

AnitaB.org has cancelled the Grace Hopper Celebration, the world's largest gathering of women in computing, which had been scheduled to bring together thousands of technologists, researchers and recruiters. The organisation announced the cancellation through its official conference site. Attendees and speakers are voicing surprise and disappointment online, with many discussing the loss of a major networking and hiring event for women in tech.

Why now: The sudden cancellation of the tech industry's largest women-in-computing conference disrupts travel and career plans for thousands of attendees.
