Rwanda to bring F1 back to Africa for first time since 1993
Rwanda is set to host a Formula 1 race, returning the sport to Africa for the first time since South Africa's Kyalami circuit held a grand prix in 1993. The announcement marks a major step in efforts to expand F1 beyond its traditional markets, with Rwanda emerging as a new host on the calendar.
Why now: Rwanda's selection as an F1 host ends a three-decade absence of the sport from Africa, a significant milestone for motorsport fans on the continent.
